Castor Oil
From skincare to the famous castor-packs, this little seed has a long history of use.
About Castor
High in ricinoleic acid, Vitamin E, omega-6 and omega-9 fatty acids, as well as minerals including iron, zinc, and magnesium. Castor oil has a long history of use in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) for creating castor packs to support digestion, lymphatic drainage, liver function & more.*
For Moisturizing & Beyond
Because it's rich in fatty acids, castor oil has moisturizing effects. While not advised for internal use, when applied topically alone or mixed with other oils, Castor oil can be lovely for the skin and hair. In addition to this, Castor oil has anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties.*
Castor Oil Packs
People may use castor oil packs as remedies for constipation, dry skin, arthritis, or period cramps.
These are pieces of fabric, usually cotton or wool, soaked in castor oil. You apply them to your skin, with or without a heating pad.*
